Me: “Art has been my attention getter, the focal point of my life for as long as I remember. I have spread my wings of artistic freedom since my age of three; since then I never stopped creating, painting, and discovering exciting horizons of art, exploring new techniques, media, colours, forms, the flow of energy, and my inner self.”
Me: “I was born and raised in a small country in Europe called Slovenia in an even smaller city called Maribor. Even though some challenging life moments made me grow up fast, I must say that I had a beautiful childhood. I would never change anything in my life. I believe that every difficult moment made me who I am today. They say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. So today I am happy, bursting with energy, and passionately creating to the fullest. I’m humbly grateful for the opportunity to be on the artistic path, I always wanted to be. By sharing my art and my story I would like to encourage you to follow your dreams, goals, heart, mind, and create the most amazing life that you want for yourself. I’m following that path of truth and spiritual freedom and encourage you to do so too!”
Me: “My art philosophy is: TO CONTEMPLATE, TO FREE MY MIND, TO LET MY SOUL BE CREATIVE, TO PATIENTLY WAIT FOR IDEAS TO BURST AND FLOW THROUGH ME… AND THAT IS HOW MY PAINTINGS ARE BORN.
My paintings vibrate energy and passion. By day and night. They never stop. If you just silently look at them, they take you to the next level of self-awareness, happiness, and gratitude for living in this beautiful world.
My mission is to share positive vibes of energy and creativity that I accumulate from the universe and show it through the existing form of paint and shape on canvas.
The energy is what brings my paintings to existence, I just hold the brush. Painting is a jewel holding pure source of joy, happiness, life, and innocence waiting for you to invite all that in your life through it.
I would like you to see through my eyes how beautiful I believe this world is, to appreciate the sacred magic of life, and be witness to the miracle of our existence.”
Me: “Yes, I‘ve been a full-time fine artist since 2004 when I launched my first business while studying art at the Department of Fine Arts at University of Maribor, Faculty of Education in Slovenia. As a talented student I received a scholarship for talented young art students from the municipality of Maribor.
In 2006 I successfully completed my Bachelor’s degree in Abstract Painting and became Professor of Art.
For the last 14 years I’ve traveled a lot, painted, and exhibited my paintings. Anywhere I go I constantly study art; I am fascinated by different points of view of colour, shape, and form in different parts of the world. I love getting inspired by people, cultures, music, nature, the universe, and my inner reflection of the magical moments of life.
For the past few years I’ve constantly been traveling between Slovenia and Switzerland. They are my homes. My boyfriend lives in Zurich, so I stay with him a lot and create art there.”
Me: “Over the past 14 years I have sold over 1,600 original works to private and corporate clients worldwide. I collaborate with galleries, rotary clubs, universities, hotels, restaurants, and offices. I participated and painted live in the 54th Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM) World Congress.
My artwork has also been seen in many Slovenian newspapers and sold at many art fairs. In 2015 the main Slovenian national television channel SLO1 hosted me at the Dobro Jutro talk show (video time frame from 44:52 to 52:18).
Since 2004 I have had 46 solo and group exhibitions and earned 9 Gallery Awards.
Some of my past and present clients and projects include sold paintings and wall murals to private clients from Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Hungary, Russia, and many more countries.
Me: “Some of you know me as Barbara Frank. Yes, I know, it is a catchy and very international name, but I never felt like a Barbara. It is a beautiful name, no doubt, but it just doesn’t suit me. I researched it and found out that Barbara means ‘stranger, barbarian, savage’ in every culture and language. Even the legend says that she was tortured, imprisoned, and killed by the order of her father who later died in a fire… it is a sad story. Barbara is also a Saint because she suffered so much in her life. It is too sad for me to carry that name. If I think back, as Barbara I was very quiet, serious, closed, sensitive, and self-critical. But not any more!
I feel with the name Aria, because it represents who I am today; airy, happy, free, intuitive, creative, spiritually growing, and loving life! I am not imprisoned anymore, I broke the chains and set my soul free. This is Aria. And Dellcorta means a solid sense of imagination with wonderful communication skills. The name represents harmony, pleasures, and beauty – of sharing my inventive talents with the world. Acquiring my ability in creative self-expression is the best degree of attainment because of this full life journey.”
